Why do you pretend?

Why these din and cry?

Why waste our lives?

Just order us to die.

You slug it out in house,

You speak and debate,

Trading in the charges,

Bartering the blames.

You fool a billion idiots,

You ain’t any Einstein,

And yet you take for ride,

A billion brilliant minds.

But are we any brilliant,

Or just on ego trip,

You pour the oil in path,

We see, we walk and slip.

We slip, we pass the blame,

We fight it out, we tweet,

Updating our status,

As you satisfy your greed.

We follow like a sheep,

Bleating how we are great,

In nothing we exist,

You mock our sorry fate.

And plead we today,

Just tell us we are slaves,

Rip our throats and drink,

Our blood you want to taste.

But stop this damn theatre,

Enough of twinkling lies,

Tell us we are doomed,

Only politicians deserve a life.

Youth Revolts

No chains, no cage, can hold us back,

There’s no stopping us, once we get on the track,

Move out of the way, all you old and raddled,

It’s time to go vroom, enough have you paddled,

We allowed you to keep this world for too long,

Always hoping you will make it green and strong,

But failed you have, and flopped in such a way,

We’ll have to sink the moon, to start a brand new day,

You may call us rookie, immature or what,

Our spring, your autumn, we deserve this shot,

The world awaits, it’s time to change the guard,

Miles to be travelled, thank you for your yards,

A lot of water has flown in the rivers that flow,

Time to milk the seas; it’s time for you to go.

Cause it’s our time.

You were handed the charge, with lots of hope,

Look at what you did; we’re the only scope,

You gave us al-Qaeda; you gave us 9/11,

Trapped doves in a cage, stabbed keys to the heaven,

All the olive branches were burnt to the cinder,

A bomb for a bullet, and the peace was hindered,

No Gandhi, no Teresa, ever came to your mind,

Osama bin laden spoke from everyone’s behind,

A half turned fanatics, mislead by what was taught,

The other half were made by the reason you fought,

A lot of snow has melted on the mountains that glow,

Have to freeze back the glaciers, time for you to go,

Cause it’s our time.

I can be the change

 "A poem for those who crib about system but do nothing to change it. Remember, the change begins at individual level. If we try, we can collectively change anything"

 

Ever since I was a little kid,

I heard everyone say it’s all over now,

Things will get only worse,

Nothing will change any way, anyhow,

I felt depressed and thought to self,

I have to toil hard and make my escape,

But with time, I realized,

I am the one that shall bring the change.

I can be the change,

The change they thought shall never come,

I can be the change,

The change that will get justice done,

I can be the change,

The change to unearth hidden lies,

I can be the change,

The change to make this nation fly.

I can be the change,

The change that can help find the crooks,

I can be the change,

The change to bring guilty to book,

I can be the change,

The change to save the sacred lives,

I can be the change,

Cause inside me that change survives.

I can be the change,

The change to light up darkened streets,

I can be the change,

The change to stop the murder of trees,

I can be the change,

The change to filter the water we drink,

I can be the change,

The change to change more to think.

Break the limits

When I was young and did something,

They all told me just one thing,

That is the best that you can do,

And I believed it to be true,

I always kept myself chained,

Status quo was always maintained,

Be satisfied in what you got,

That is what I heard a lot,

But now when I look at the sky,

I can’t explain to myself why,

I kept myself,

                           Within the limits,

                           Within the limits,

Why didn’t I go?

                           Beyond the limits,

                           Beyond the limits.

I always kept myself chained,

Hid under umbrella when it rained,

Never tried to break the wall,

Never thought about it at all,

I saw the river as a grave,

I never tried to feel the waves,

I always sat in the mid of boat,

Never thought to dive and float,

Now when I see the water flow by,

I can’t explain to myself why,

I kept myself,

                           Within the limits,

Why didn’t I go?

                           Beyond the limits,

I should have never kept so low,

Life’s all about standing, don’t bow,

You may not get another chance to show,

Why you’re the best, only you know,

So just don’t keep yourself chained,

Break out, go out and dance in rain,

The world is yours, take it now,

Let the world wonder wow,

So don’t you stay,
