Stop the War

Death walking through the streets,
With only rubble under its feet,
The roads are painted red,
And every corner is dead,
The air is putrid with smoke,
Even birds are beginning to choke,
What once was a spot of life,
Is blotted and ill defined.

The eyes are lined with black,
But ‘tis not kohl but char,
The night is falling but,
No one’s out to see the stars,
Stop! Stop! Please stop the war!

In the heat of the fire,
For someone’s ill desire,
Children can no longer play,
Their eyes are drying away,
Men and women alike,
Waiting for end of life,
Watching their houses crumble,
On their dead ones they stumble.

Can’t they listen to cries?
As the reaper keeps on to rise,
Will the night ever end?
Will there ever be a sunrise?
The night is counting dead,
Unblinking eyes staring at stars,
Stop! Stop! Please stop this war!

Nuclear Holocaust

The world is burning bright,
It is not the sun which gives this light,
We have put a stop to all our fight,
The world is sure burning bright.

The sky is all covered in clouds,
But don’t expect any rains around,
We can no longer hear any sound,
The sky is sure all covered in clouds.

It is not the silence of the peace,
No doves are resting atop the trees,
We all are crawling on our knees,
Is it night? Is it day? We just can’t see.

It’s the holocaust,
Why the air feels so hot?
It’s the holocaust,
And the mankind is forever lost,
It’s the holocaust,
We have brought about our own fall,
The god lies dead in front,
Who will hear our distress call?

The buildings are all crumbling down,
They were once a part of a breathing town,
The faces are all powdered like a clown,
The buildings sure are crumbling down.

That ring belongs to someone’s mom,
Wait! I know where that finger’s from,
The rest seems to be blown in the storm,
But that ring sure belonged to my mom.

We have no answers at the time,
We lay wearing mud and grime,
Thinking of future seems a crime,
Yes, we have no answers at the time.

It’s the holocaust,
All the fishes sleep on the land,
It’s the holocaust,
The birds are perching on dead sand,
It’s the holocaust,
We have brought about our own fall,
And the god lies dead in front,
Who will hear our distress call?

Boundaries we divide

I walked out in sun, looking at the land,
Under the trees, feet feeling the sand,
Wanting to be a part of the view grand,
Till I was stopped by show of a hand,
And then the thought crossed through my mind,
Boundaries we divide,
Boundaries we divide.

The birds can fly over them all,
But we cannot jump over the wall,
And if you try, you won’t try again,
Trespasser will be added to your name,
Who owns what who gets to decide,
Boundaries we decide,
Boundaries we decide.

We cannot stop the rain, wind and snow,
But in name of land, the hatred we sow,
Out from the space, you won’t see these lines,
But on paper we draw them so fine,
And then we put wires so they can’t hide,
Boundaries we divide,
Boundaries we divide.
