Far Away From Hell

I just wake up,
Look down the sky,
Shining so bright,
Beneath me.

I look at the earth,
It’s so blue and white,
Just love the sight,
Beneath me.

I just float, up here in my station,
Far way, from darkening realization,
Promise you nobody will be able to tell,
How I feel so far way, so far away from hell.

I just fly,
Take a walk in stars,
They still look so far,
Believe me.

I look at her,
Oh she looks so green,
Had always been,
Believe me.

I just think, up here in my station,
Will it ever be like this? Down in all the nations,
Promise you nobody will be able to tell,
How I feel so far away, so far away from hell.

It is all contrasting, what I see from here,
It feels so silent, but I now it isn’t there,
It seems so cool, so slow, so pleasing,
But down there people are crying and pleading.
All those I love, all for whom I care,
Are they safe? Still breathing down there,
Promise you won’t believe, what I want to tell,
I want to live here forever, far away from hell.
So far away from hell.

Stop the War

Death walking through the streets,
With only rubble under its feet,
The roads are painted red,
And every corner is dead,
The air is putrid with smoke,
Even birds are beginning to choke,
What once was a spot of life,
Is blotted and ill defined.

The eyes are lined with black,
But ‘tis not kohl but char,
The night is falling but,
No one’s out to see the stars,
Stop! Stop! Please stop the war!

In the heat of the fire,
For someone’s ill desire,
Children can no longer play,
Their eyes are drying away,
Men and women alike,
Waiting for end of life,
Watching their houses crumble,
On their dead ones they stumble.

Can’t they listen to cries?
As the reaper keeps on to rise,
Will the night ever end?
Will there ever be a sunrise?
The night is counting dead,
Unblinking eyes staring at stars,
Stop! Stop! Please stop this war!

Courage

I had a look at the towering sky,
It created in me a budding desire,
One day I will be kissing that high,
Inside kept burning that fire,
In my dreams I could see,
Myself sleeping on the clouds,
I touched the moon, kissed the sun,
I could fly in peace all around,
That day finally came indeed,
I tried to climb out of the hell,
Standing tall the Everest bellowed,
Can you make your dream real?
So began my tryst with destiny,
My knees ached and asked to stop,
But the heart beckoned to carry on,
I could hear the call of the frozen top,
I braved the chills, faced the winds,
Sleeping and eating at thousand feet,
I tasted snow, I drank the ice,
Went on though my nose began to bleed,
The wind tried to stop my ascent,
Filled snow in boots, snow in my clothes,
Could hardly see, could barely breath,
Snow in my eyes, snow in my nose,
But I kept pushing on and on,
My courage never allowed me to sag,
For this dream I wanted to live,
The dream I lived as I planted my flag,
And up there did I ponder,
If a man can overcome the odds so big,
Why is it hard for peace below?
Why songs of love are hard to sing?
