Wait for your death

Don’t step out of house,
Don’t go to the shop,
Stay away from the crowd,
Stay afraid round the clock,
No place is safe,
No heart feels free,
They have bombs in the bin,
Bombs tied to the tree,
One in the shop below,
One in the cycle stand,
One where you’re not,
And one where you stand,
Where will you hide?
Where will you sleep?
You’re destined to die,
You’re destined to weep.

What the government wants,
We should die in calm,
They dole out the cheques,
Adding salt in the balm,
They don’t care we live,
They don’t care we die,
They’ll do nothing,
They have their Z and Y,
And we common men,
Want to beg them please,
Don’t play politics,
On the dead and bereaved,
Please don’t go soft,
For the sake of your votes,
Make us feel secure,
We don’t need your notes.

But wait for your death,
Cause deaf rule the land,
Heads buried in sand,
So wait for your death,
Like caged in a zoo,
They don’t care for me and you.

When Heroes Fall

When angels turn out to be,
The devil incarnate,
When lies exposed the villain,
In that hero you prayed,
When mirror lies broken,
That image stands tattered,
You see the grim reality,
In all reflections scattered,
When hero that you idolised,
Falls in front of your eyes,
When darkness seems the victor,
The light within you dies.

Yes you stand muted,
Truth hits you in the face,
You watch in sheer despair,
As hero slays its grace,
You try hard to control,
But mind won’t simply rest,
You try and justify,
Why hero failed the litmus test?
That hero whom you idolised,
Has spoiled the way you pictured life,
Your heart afraid of darkness,
Your morals wither out and die.

When heroes fall they don’t just fall alone,
They fall down taking with them millions of hopes,
They drag down with self, the future they did mould,
They fall leaving back, hearts broken and cold,
They float in their shame, as hopes drown in eyes,
The sun hides away, and blank are the skies,
But little do they care, their egos reign supreme,
Armour of arrogance replaces the humble sheen,
And shameless they survive, the fall just continues,
They milk their infamy, and sell our tears too,
Safe in their bubble, they watch us lit the pyre,
When heroes fall they live, mocking death of our desires.

Tiger vs Dragon

Will dragon roast the tiger?
Or will tiger bite his tail?
Will robot finally gear up?
Or continue as fail?

The dragon’s fast approaching,
Eating up our land,
The robot lies defunct,
Not caring for our sands.

They said it’s just acne,
And we shouldn’t be bothered,
The dragon pushes forward,
And tiger backs down clobbered.

The dragon stares us down,
The robot speaks in hushes,
Afraid to raise his voice,
Cause dragon brutally crushes.

The robot squeaks and whimpers,
As dragon roars out loud,
The tiger meekly surrenders,
Stitches up his own shroud.

And no, tiger ain’t coward,
Coward are those who hold,
The leash of tiger firmly,
Trembling; don’t let it go.

Just once if for a moment,
Their grip would slightly loosen,
Tiger will show the dragon,
Wrong enemy he has chosen.

Tiger will shred to pieces,
Dragon will run and cry,
But coward is the robot,
Valor he doesn’t try.

The dragon laughs out fire,
The tiger rues his fate,
Will robot ever speak up?
Or maybe it is too late?
